A robust M18 cylindrical PBT/PSS bodied inductive proximity sensor with a sensing range of 5 mm. Embeddable, with normally closed (N/C) operation complete with a 2 metre PVC cable and featuring a NAMUR output type. Suitable for demanding industrial process automation and control applications.

The voltage and current characteristics of inductive sensors with NAMUR output are so low that they can be safely used in explosive environments.  The power limitation is implemented in the corresponding equipment. This means that the circuit containing a NAMUR proximity sensor is only intrinsically safe if it is supplied via a corresponding isolating amplifier.
